This is a short biography of me.

I graduated with a PhD from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 2002.  I then took up a position at Oxford University, after which I moved to Imperial College Business School where I was promoted to the post of Senior Lecturer in the Finance and Accounting Group in 2008.  In 2011 I took up a position as Retirement Policy Specialist at the National Treasury in Pretoria, South Africa, where I assist with the design and implementation of changes to the South African retirement system.  In 2013 I became a Visiting Fellow at the National Institute for Economic and Social Research in London.

I continue to research and lecture in many areas of the economics and finance of pensions.  Most of my published work can be found on this site.
